Honolulu City Councilmember Pine pushing for higher minimum wage
Honolulu City Councilmember Kymberly Pine, also a candidate for Mayor, is pushing for a higher minimum wage.
In Hawaii right now minimum wage is $10.10 and efforts to get it bumped to $15 by 2023 failed last year.
According to Pine, now is the time to create a better future for local families.
The state estimates that the basic minimum living wage for a single person is $17 per hour.
