People in Canada got quite the scare this weekend.

Ontario Power Generation accidentally sent out a nuclear power plant emergency alert to some residents.

There was no danger to the public, or environment, but the mayor said he wants answers.

"This has a huge impact in our community as a whole. The obvious anxiety that is uncalled for and I want to know how it happened. And I wonder what's going to be done to ensure that it doesn't happen again," said Pickering Mayor Dave Rylan.

The nuclear station is about 28 miles east of Toronto, with about six reactors. It fuels about 14 percent of Ontario's power.
