The only reward for hard work is more hard work.

That's exactly what is cut out for the University of Hawaii men's volleyball team that is ranked first in the entire country.

"We may have the preseason number one but we haven't won a game yet. We still have to prove to the nation that we deserve our number one spot," said redshirt senior, middle blocker Patrick Gasman.

The Rainbow Warriors finished last season with a record of 28-3, losing in the national championship to Long Beach State.

They begin their 2020 season on Friday, January 3. The University of Charleston (West Virginia) Golden Eagles come to town for two matches, one on the third and one on the fourth. Both begin at 7:00pm at the Stan Sheriff Center.
