Nightclub to host AIDS fundraiser in Chinatown
A group of local DJs will be donating their time to raise money in the fight against AIDS and HIV in Hawaii. The 26th annual DJ's Against Aids event hopes to bring awareness to the importance of safe sex while offering a fun night with great music.
The event started 26 years ago by local DJ Gee Hawaii has moved locations throughout the years. This year, it will be held at NextDoor Nightclub in Chinatown at 43 N Hotel Street. In previous years the fundraiser has supported the Life Foundation, but now that organization is known as HHHRC or Hawaii Health & Harm Reduction Center which provides service and support for those living with HIV/Aids and educational programs for the state.
The talent lineup includes House Music legend DJ Daniel J, DJ Gee, DJ SoundSexy, Sam Champagne, Zaytek, Bird of The Recess Project and others.
The event starts at 9pm, Wednesday, December 4, 2019. $10 suggested donation for admission.
