42-year-old male pedestrian in serious condition after Hawaii Kai crash
Speed, Drugs, and Alcohol does not appear to be contributing factors in this collision.

On Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at about 6:25 p.m., a motor vehicle collision occurred in the Hawaii Kai area, involving a pedestrian.
A 42-year-old male pedestrian was walking his dog in a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a Nissan SUV traveling westbound on Hawaii Kai Drive at Kalalea Street. A 17-year-old male driving the Nissan vehicle was uninjured and remained at the scene. His two male passengers, also 17 years of age, were also uninjured.
The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital in serious condition. However, his dog did not survive.
Speed, drugs, and alcohol do not appear to be contributing factors in this collision.
This investigation is ongoing.
