David “Davey D” Daniel’s was born and raised in the backroads of Waimanalo and is a current resident of beautiful Kane’ohe.

Davey met his wife Kandice in 1993 and in 1999 they welcomed their daughter Daisy to their ‘ohana.

After graduating from Kailua High School in 1991, he enrolled at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.  While attending classes there, he also worked part time for Honolulu-based radio station KCCN FM100.  In 1993, he left school to work full time at KCCN FM100 and in 1997 he was promoted to its program director.  Davey led the radio station to #1 in the ratings in 1999.  In 2004, he was named program director of Hawaiian 105 KINE.  During his tenure as program director, both stations consistently ranked in the top 5 in the ratings.

Davey produced and hosted Overdrive Live, a TV show on OC16.  Overdrive Live was born before YouTube in 2001 and was the sole outlet for Hawai’i residents to see locally produced music videos on TV. It aired from 2001 until 2018.

Davey has a passion for the Hawaiian language and has been a haumana (student) of Kealaleo  since 2016.  He is currently working on his associates degree in Hawaiian Studies at Windward Community College.

When Davey is not working or going to school, he enjoys spending time with ‘ohana, traveling, going to the movies and jamming on his ‘ukulele.
