Sports scholarship launched to honor Oahu minor league player
Erie, PA - A Pearl City High grad who played minor league baseball will be remembered with a scholarship for youth. Chace Numata died on September 2nd following a skateboarding accident in Erie, Pennsylvania.
He played for the Erie SeaWolves, an affiliate of the Detroit Tigers. The team this week announced four $1,000 scholarships for student-athletes in the Erie-area each year.
As a fundraiser, the team is selling Chace Numata jersey tees featuring his number (ten), and #livelikenumi.
