Counselors were on campus all day at the Maui Preparatory Academy after a student was found unconscious during a school event last night.

Maui Police report it was an 11-year-old boy.

First responders were able to regain a pulse and transported him to Maui Memorial Medical Center. Police also report no signs of foul play.

Head of School Robert Landau told KITV4 that meeting the social and emotional needs of their school community is top priority.

The campus in West Maui has been open since 2005 -- serving students from preschool through 12th grade.
