Wednesday morning just before 11 a.m., Ocean Safety lifeguards spotted a shark at Nanakuli Beach Park.

It was a 8-10 foot non-aggressive shark, 300 yards offshore.

Beach goers have been warned, and signs have been posted. Jet ski patrols are being made as well.

There were approximately 20 people in the water at the time of the sighting, but came ashore safely.

Officials say the situation will be reassessed at 1 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
