The 39th annual Hawaii International Film Festival kicks off on November 7th and the full lineup was released on Friday.

New Zealand filmmaker Taika Waititi will premiere his new film "Jojo Rabbit."

Waititi also stars in the movie alongside Scarlett Johansson.

The WWII movie follows a German boy whose world view is turned upside down when he discovers his mother is hiding a young Jewish girl in their attic.

"This year marks a renewed dedication to our youth programs, a new commitment to women in the film industry, and a return to our devotion to showcasing stories of immigrant filmmakers," Beckie Stocchetti said. 

The festival runs November 7th through November 17th at the Regal Dole Cannery Theaters.
