Local Kenobi spreads aloha throughout Waikiki
"Do or do not. There is no try." Those famous words from Yoda to Luke Skywalker have resonated with one man in Hawaii who's looking to be in the next Star Wars production.
Brian Flinn's father took him to see the first Star Wars film when he was just three years old. But for the past couple weeks, he's been campaigning to become an extra on the Disney Plus series "Kenobi." The show is a back story on the character Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Flinn says he hopes to be recognized by the show's producers and spread a bit of aloha to those around him.
"If it's nothing more than a simple encouragement or a smile -- if it's nothing more than encouraging, then that's great too because it motivates me," said Flinn.
He's usually seen in Waikiki in front of International Market Place -- the same spot the theater once stood where he saw the first Star Wars.
