UPDATE: Big Island police arrest 31-year-old man connected to shooting in Hawaiian Paradise Park
Big Island Police have arrested a 31-year-old Puna man in connection with an early evening shooting on Monday, October 7 at a home in Hawaiian Paradise Park.
Kamanaokaaina “Mana” Nakooka, was arrested on Tuesday, October 8 on a vacant lot on 18th Avenue in Hawaiian Paradise Park.
Detectives from the Area I Criminal Investigation Section are continuing to investigate the incident, which is classified as a first-degree Terroristic threatening and first-degree Assault.
The 41-year-old victim remains hospitalized in stable condition.
A 41-year-old man was shot at a home in Hawaiian Paradise Park in Kea'au.
The man is in stable condition at this time.
Police are now searching for a man connected to the shooting, 31-year-old Kamanaokaaina or Mana Nakooka who is described as 5'11" and weighs about 260 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
