Federal bomb lawsuits filed after lava bombs tore through roof of tour boat in July 2018
According to attorneys representing multiple plaintiffs, federal lava bomb lawsuits are moving forward.
23 people were injured in July 2018 when molten lava tore through the roof of a tour boat.
The Hawaii Tribune Herald reports that the lawsuits accuse tour company Lava Ocean Tours and the captain of the boat of negligence for getting too close to the lava.
Attorneys involved starting sharing documents and witness lists. A non-jury trial date has been set for September 8, 2020.
