Hanauma Bay is back open post $300K repaving project
It's always a bummer for tourists or even locals when a popular spot like Hanauma Bay is closed if you wanted to do some snorkeling. But Monday it's all back open.
There was reason for the closing -- it's all because they repaved the entire road from Kalanianaole Highway down to the entrance. If you've been to Hanauma Bay you know its a long hill down the parking lot -- that was all repaved.
A pretty big project -- $300,000 to get it all fixed up, but Parks and Recreation says they appreciate all the patience as they made those improvements.
The park will be open at normal hours. They open at 6 a.m. and close at 6 p.m.
