Ewa Beach man is released from police custody after fatally shooting a house intruder
The decedent was on the suspect's property with a knife when the suspect opened his front door and shot him. EMS was activated and the pronouncement of his death was made at the scene

Honolulu Police have released the man that allegedly shot and killed a man on his property.
At about 9:00 Friday night, the victim came on to the suspect's property on Aama Place, holding a knife.
The suspect, 54-year-old, Lou La Xiong, opened the front door and shot the 37-year-old man.
Emergency Medical Services were called and the pronouncement of death was made at the scene.
Xiong was arrested for second-degree murder shortly after.
He was released from police custody at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday, pending investigation.
