Honolulu Police open murder investigation after a shooting in Ewa Beach Friday night
Honolulu Police have opened a murder investigation after a 37-year-old man was shot to death Friday evening.
Police say the victim came on to the suspect's property on Aama Place, holding a knife.
It is unclear if the victim was trying to enter the home when the suspect shot the victim from inside the house.
Emergency Medical Services were called and arrived on scene at about 9:00 p.m. They transported the victim to a trauma center where he later died.
The suspect, a 54 year-old man, was arrested for second-degree murder shortly after.
He is in police custody, pending investigation.
