'Iolani Palace resumed tours on Wednesday, September 25 with regularly scheduled hours 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

A total of seven bee hives were mitigated and the exterior hive and colony were safely relocated to Waimanalo and the six interior hives within the structure have been exterminated.

According to 'Iolani Palace, it estimates that it lost about $15,000 per day it was closed so about $75,000 for the extended closure from the afternoon of Thursday, September 19 to Tuesday. 'Iolani Palace is usually closed on Sundays. 

The estimated cost for the removal of the hives at the Palace is $5,750.
