Southwest Airlines launches new flights to and from Hawaii two months ahead of schedule
Pack your bags! Southwest Airlines is launching new flights to and from Hawaii two months early.
As part of the airline's latest schedule extension, Southwest said it plans to start service between Sacramento and Honolulu on November 10, instead of its original start date of January 19.
The airline is offering introductory fares of $99 for one-way travel on Tuesdays and Wednesdays -- black out dates for those fares will be near and around Thanksgiving or peak Christmas travel dates.
By the end of March, Southwest will also fly from Oakland to Honolulu and Maui twice per day, and to Kauai and the Big Island once a day.
Also in March, the airline will fly from San Jose once a day to Honolulu, Maui, Kona and Kauai, as well as from Sacramento to Honolulu and Maui once a day.
