Mattel is launching new dolls aimed at breaking gender barriers.

The toy company's new gender inclusive dolls come with different hair, clothes, and accessory options.

Some are more feminine, others are masculine, and children can pick any combination of these accessories.

The move comes after Mattel has spent years updating its iconic Barbie doll, which is now available in a variety of skin tones and body types.

Advocates call it opportunity for conversation on 'what' and 'who' dolls are for.

According to a Barbie spokesperson, as the world begins to celebrate the positive impact of inclusivity, they believed it was time to launch a doll line free of labels and rules.
