Man arrested after police say they saw him stabbing his girlfriend
Police continue to investigate an attempted murder in Mililani after a woman was stabbed, and her daughter was brutally beaten early Thursday morning.
Officers say they were originally responding to a burglary on Waimakua Drive between Wailawa Street and Wainihi Street.
Neighbors heard screams coming from this home on Waimakua Drive around 4 a.m. When officers got on scene, they saw a man stabbing his girlfriend in the torso. The officers intervened, recovered a knife and arrested the 46-year-old suspect.
Police say he also stabbed another man and assaulted his daughter.
KITV4 spoke with a neighbor who rushed to help.
"Cops was on the scene, she was bleeding pretty bad from her face and her head. I had a shirt that I took off and wrapped around her face and applied pressure to try and stop bleeding," said neighbor Sam Onzai.
Police say the woman and daughter were taken to the hospital in serious condition. Three police officers also suffered minor injuries.
The suspect was arrested for attempted murder and assault.
