Two people sentenced to life in prison after brutally beating Kona hotel security guard
Two people who brutally beat a hotel security guard in Kona last year were sentenced to life in prison.
Natasha Tautalatasi and Wesley Samoa were given the possibility of parole at their sentencing Thursday.
Lama Lauvao was also involved in the attack -- he was sentenced to ten years behind bars.
The group beat security guard John Kanui at the Kona Seaside Hotel last September after Kanui asked them to turn their music down.
Kanui was hospitalized in critical condition. His family released a statement last month saying Kanui was left paralyzed from the chest down.
