Red Cross opens shelter for displaced Pacific Palisades residents amid barricade
In response to the ongoing police activity in Pacific Palisades, the Hawaii Red Cross has opened a shelter at a local recreation center.
A barricade situation closed off neighbors from reaching the area where a man barricaded himself in a home since around 9 a.m. Friday.
Neighbors have reported hearing gunshots, and the area has been evacuated.
Residents displaced due to the police activity and investigation can seek shelter at the Palisades Recreation Center, 2016 Aamanu St, Pearl City.
