California’s largest wildfire of 2019 claims 47,000 acres
In California, hundreds of firefighters are battling the largest wildfire burning right now in the United State. The Walker fire spans more than 47,000 acres and at last report, only 12% contained.
This comes after a mandatory evacuation order in parts of the Plumas National Forest. It's day five of the firefight, and the wildfire is nowhere close to being contained.
