Hawaii's Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson made a TV appearance Monday on the premier of The Kelly Clarkson Show -- stepping in for his friend Kevin Hart.

After Kevin Hart was in a major car accident last weekend, Johnson gave an update on his condition on the talk show.

"Everything is good, I spoke with Kevin, I actually refer to him as my son," Johnson told Clarkson. "I connected with him today."

Johnson also posted a preview of the episode on his Instagram, saying that he was doing the right thing an stepping in for 'his family.'

"Thank God he was buckled into his car seat," he joked in the post, and went on to say, "Heal up brotha, always got your back."

On the show, Johnson said that Hart was "doing very well," and was "bummed" to not be joining Clarkson.
