The death toll from Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas is rising. At least 45 people are dead and thousands are still missing.

As cleanup from the category five storm continues, the number of victims is expected to climb.

Supplies are slowly arriving for those who survived the most powerful hurricane to ever hit the Bahamas.

Many are also looking for a way to get out. Defense officials loaded up boats, sending over more than three thousand rescue crew members.

Those who no longer have a place to live are seeking refuge in shelters. Some with visas or U.S. citizenship are boarding cruise ships for Florida.
