Suspect in custody after 20-year-old man is fatally shot at Ala Moana Center
A suspect is in custody after a man was shot and killed at Ala Moana Center over the weekend.
It was the second shooting in the parking lot outside Lucky Strike Social in the past three years.
According to police a 20-year-old man was shot and killed around 1 a.m. on Sunday night.
Family identified the victim as 20-year-old Alan Jennings and one witness told KITV4 they saw someone applying chest compressions to Jennings after he was shot.
Once paramedics arrived, they treated him at the scene and took him to the hospital in critical condition where he died.
What led up to the shooting is unclear but we do know that police arrested a 23-year-old man for second-degree murder.
The Jennings family tells KITV4 that he was a graduate of Mililani High School and was considering joining the military.
This is at least the third shooting to happen at Ala Moana Center within the past three years. Dae Han Moon was convicted of second degree murder for the shooting and killing of 20-year-old Stevie Feliciano.
Moon shot Feliciano on the fifth floor of the Ewa Wing parking on Christmas Day 2016.
As of Monday morning according to police the 23-year-old man arrested in connection to this deadly shooting is still in custody but has not been charged.
