A high pressure ridge north of the Hawaiian Islands interacting with Post-Tropical cyclone Akoni will keep breezy trade winds in the forecast through the weekend. Showers will favor windward/mauka spots and Hawaii island leeward side in the afternoon. Tropical moisture can be expected to roll in starting Sunday.

Winds 10-25 mph into the weekend, with a wind advisory until Sunday morning for Hawaii island's Kohala. A small craft advisory has been extended until Saturday for Maui county through Hawaii island with wind speeds up to 25kt. Surf for the south 4-6', west and east 2-4' and north 1-3'.
