'Donut boy' supporting police makes his final stop in Hawaii
For the past 2 years, Tyler Carach has been known as 'Donut' Boy.' He's been to 49 states and given out 90,000 donuts to police departments all over the country.
It's his way of showing gratitude to the men and women in uniform. The 6th grader from Florida says it all started with us his allowance money to buy snacks for his local police, and it expanded from there.
The final leg in his journey took him here to Hawaii, his 50th and final state. Hawaiian Airlines paid for his ticket, and Safeway donated the donuts. He's giving 20 dozen each, first to Honolulu Police, and then island hopping to visit Hawaii County Police, Maui Police, and finally Kauai Police.
