Yelp: Ono seafood around O'ahu
We could make puns just for the halibut (yikes), but before we flounder (ouch), let's reel it in (sorry) and get to the good stuff -- we're talking about seafood this week.
At Amaebi Hawaii located in Chinatown, Yelper Kristine C loves that the menu is solely based on the fresh catch of the day! The five most common dishes are: the four ama ebi plate, fried rice bowl, fish patty loco moco, four fish patty plate, and smoked fish plate. They're all delicious!
At Hamakua Cafe's Mobile Kitchen in Kalihi, Yelper Sam J shares their lobster rolls are served on perfectly toasted kings rolls with a side of lemon. The lobsters are grilled with butter and then mixed wtih greens, radish sprouts and a little bit of egg salad.
At Maguro Brothers Hawaii in Chinatown, Yelper Tran D raves their fish is so fresh and amazing! She recommends the king salmon donburi. The salmon is so soft and buttery and melts in your mouth!
At South Shore Grill on Diamond Head, Yelper Sheri A discovers the best cajun ono fish burrito she's ever eaten! Be sure to grab your mints because their signature garlic sauce is to die for.
At Fresh Catch in Kaimuki, Yelper Austin H says they're so deserving of their name! You'll find a plate lunch style menu that satisfies all your seafood cravings and a full poke bar. He especially loves their ahi katsu with two scoops rice and mac salad. So ono!
