Former Rainbow Warriors Ursua & Tavai still making presence felt on 2019 team
If all goes as planned it won't be long until we see two 2018 Rainbow Warriors taking the field on NFL Sundays. 2nd round Lions draft pick Jahlani Tavai has been getting first team reps and 7th round Seattle selection John Ursua as impressed so far in Seahawk Training Camp. Both no longer UH football players but still making an impact on the current 2019 UH football team.
"Jahlani and John to me are still doing great things for the University of Hawaii, representing themselves in Training Camp well while making plays. It's doing a lot for these guys, just a year ago they were doing the same thing so they know it's possible," Head Coach Nick Rolovich said.
"I think that always help. I'm in the lockeroom next to this guy and all of a sudden he's playing for the Seahawks or the Lions. Anything is possible for me. It's really a buy into the work habits that it takes for 365 days and god willing you get that opportunity. No question it's huge to be able to project I knew these guys, these guys are doing it at the highest level, what an opportunity for these guys," Defensive Coordinator Corey Batoon said.
