'Forever'. That was Maki Pitolo's answer when asked a week ago how long he has wanted to be in the UFC.

On Tuesday night, that dream became a reality for the fighter out of Nanakuli. Pitolo was offered a contract by UFC President Dana White after a win on the show "Tuesday Night Contender Series".

Pitolo who goes by the nickname "Coconut Bombz" defeated Justin Sumter on the show broadcast from the UFC's new Apex Center in Las Vegas. Pitolo (12-4) used damaging punches to the body to earn a first-round TKO finish.

"Coconut Bombz" wasted no time in Tuesday's 185-pound bout. Sumter slipped early allowing Maki to land the first big shots of the fight. Pitolo's pressure and combinations proved effective when Sumter fell to the canvas at 1:37 of the first round.

This fight took place in the middleweight division but according to UFC's White, Pitolo does have potential in the welterweight division.
