A study by Wallet Hub shows the average monthly energy bill in Hawaii is $279.
It also says Washington has the lowest electricity prices in the nation at nine cents per kilowatt hour.
On the bright side, Hawaii has the lowest consumption of electricity in the country -- nearly three time below the national leader Louisiana.
