A record rainfall of 4.2 inches was set in Honolulu Tuesday.

This record breaks the old record of 0.14 inches that was set in 1994.

Tuesday marked the wettest June on record in Honolulu and the heavy rains made Tuesday one of the Top 25 wettest days on record in Honolulu.

Yesterday was the only one of those Top 25 days that occurred in June.

An additional record event report will be issued late Wednesday with more details.
