Two locally-made short films are now screening on a major platform. The Waiting Game and Waikiki PD are two locally-made short films chosen for Amazon Prime's All Voices Film Festival, which aims to "celebrate diversity in front of and behind the camera."

Waikiki PD is a comedy by local filmmaker Jeff Orig who has also made a feature-length version of the film.

The Waiting Game is a drama about the challenges military partners and families face, made by first-time director Stephanie Lewis. Lewis's husband was based in Hawaii for several years and she chose to film on Oahu, using an all-local cast and crew.

You can support local filmmaking and watch many other award-winning short films now through June 24th on Amazon Prime. The film that gets the most views and positive comments will win cash prizes.
