HONOLULU - About 80 people enjoyed a wine tasting on Friday night for a good cause. The Portuguese Chamber of Commerce had an assortment of Portuguese wines, food, and music.

New president Tyler Dos Santos-Tam told the crowd about the chamber's plans to grow membership, promote local businesses, and create an exhibit to highlight Hawaii's Portuguese influence over the centuries. He's also the honorary consul of Portugal.

The event raised several thousand dollars which will fund that exhibit, set for early next year. This is the chamber's first wine tasting fundraiser and it says it plans to do this again next year.
