The grandmother of Katherine Kealoha, Florence Puana, testified regarding the reverse mortgage she signed for her home.

According to Florence she wanted her son Gerard to have the home since he had helped her since the time her husband had died.

Florence says that Katherine came to her with the idea of the reverse mortgage.

In the deposition Florence states that Katherine promised her she would pay off the reverse mortgage in three to six months.

Florence also says that she trusted Katherine and relied on her when signing because she didn't know how a reverse mortgage worked.
