The Indianapolis Colts on Tuesday signed former University of Hawaii kicker Rigo Sanchez to a contract extension.

Terms of the deal were not immediately announced.

Sanchez, now entering his third season with Indianapolis, has competed in all 32 games and totaled 141 punts for 6,393 yards for an average of 45.3 yards per punt, with a net average of 42.7.

He was named to the Pro Football Writers of America’s All-Rookie Team in his first year in 2017 and proved to be just as solid in his second year.

Rigo pinned 24 punts inside the 20-yard line last year and his 42.7 net punting average ranked third in the NFL.

Sanchez played for the Rainbow Warriors in 2015 and 2016. He appeared in all 14 games as the team’s punter, as well as kicking off and kicking field goals/extra points his senior year.
