The Pac-12 announced its end of the year awards on Tuesday and Kailua-native Malia Nam was named Pac-12 Women's Golf Freshman of the Year.

Nam, the Kaiser-grad, started the season with a bang, finishing second at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate where she posted a 12-under.

She kept the momentum going for the Trojans posting top-10 finishes in five other events.

Nam finished tied for 29th at the NCAA Championships where she helped lead the Trojans to the quarterfinals of Match Play.

She had a scoring average of 72.57 in 2019 and becomes the fifth Trojan to earn Pac-12 Women's Golf Freshman of the Year honors.
