Tom George joined KITV4 Island News in April 2019.  He anchors Good Morning Hawaii weekends and also reports.

Before moving to Honolulu, Tom was living on the ‘9th Island,’ where he spent more than 2 years at KTNV, the ABC affiliate in Las Vegas.  While in Vegas, Tom worked everywhere from the field, to the anchor desk, to flying in the news chopper.  He also was part of the team that covered the 2017 mass shooting on the Las Vegas Strip.

Prior to that, Tom also worked as a reporter for KOKH in Oklahoma City and WMAZ in Macon, Georgia.

Tom is a proud Terp, graduating from University of Maryland's Philip Merrill College of Journalism in 2012. While at UMD, he interned for the Washington bureau of NBC News and WRC-TV in Washington, D.C., and his reporting for UMD's CNS-TV gained national recognition.

Originally from Columbia, Maryland, Tom spent part of his childhood in England. He also studied in Barcelona, Spain, and is fluent in Spanish. His love of languages and travel fits perfectly in a career that doesn't feel like work, and he’s excited his new adventure is in one of the most beautiful places in the world.
