Team Rager Wear of Hawaii returned home this week with some pretty impressive hardware.  The boys captured the 2019 middle school Pylon 7 on 7 National Championship in Atlanta, Georgia.

The team is made up of players from all across Oahu. Rager Wear beat team AZ 87 from Arizona 21-7 in the tournament Championship game on Memorial Day. The game was played at the Atlanta Falcons' Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

"(I'm) very proud. We went up there, we were prepared and they doubted us and we came back with the victory. Our group is all about having fun. All about team chemistry, all about togetherness. We just have fun and we play ball" said Rager Wear head coach Hanalei Ahn.

Pylon 7 on 7 is an organization that holds non-contact football tournaments throughout the country from January to May. It provides an opportunity for high school and middle school athletes to get scouted by college coaches. Team Rager Wear advanced to the National Championship Tournament in Atlanta after winning a regional tournament in Nevada earlier this year. Rager Wear is the first team from Hawaii to capture this trophy.
