The University of Hawai'i softball team (22-10, 3-1 Big West) beat Cal Poly (7-27, 1-3 BWC) 6-1 in San Luis Obispo, California Friday afternoon.

Hawaii starting pitcher Brittany Hitchcock got the complete game win giving up one run and five hits.  She improves to 11-5 overall in 2019 and 3-0 in Big West contests.

Callee Heen made it 4-1 Hawaii in the fifth inning with her 11th home run of the season.  The long ball brought Heen's career total to 34, tying her with Tanisha Milca and Kayla Wartner for 9th all-time in UH program history.

The Rainbow Wahine and Mustangs will play a double-header on Saturday to wrap up the series.  The first game is scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m. HT.
