HONOLULU - Hawaiian Airlines is expanding service between Hawaii and the West Coast.

It now has daily non-stop flights between Maui and Sacramento.

Travelers will get to ride what Hawaiian calls a "new, fuel efficient" aircraft, with 16 luxurious leather recliners in first class, 44 "extra comfort" economy seats -- and 129 seats in the main cabin.

Guests on Monday's inaugural flight to Sacramento got welcomed at the gate with fresh lei.

The first flight out of Sacramento landed Tuesday morning on Maui.
