The University of Hawai‘i Athletics Department is anticipating heavy traffic and large crowds this weekend with men’s volleyball and baseball games occurring at nearly the same time.

On Friday and Saturday, the baseball team will host UC Davis at 6:35 p.m., at Les Murakami Stadium while the men’s volleyball team will host UC Santa Barbara at 7:00 p.m., at the Stan Sheriff Center. Saturday’s volleyball match is “Senior Night” and a near-capacity crowd is expected.

The UHM Commuter Services department is encouraging fans attending this weekend’s game to allow extra transit time and to also utilize the Waialae entrance into Lower Campus.

In addition to the parking structure, fans are encouraged to utilize several alternate Upper Campus parking zones. Fans with a Zone 20 parking pass will be allowed to park in these zones for no additional fee. Parking fee for all others is $6.

  • Zone 13 (parking lots along Correa Road)
  • Zone 4 (parking lot near the Korean Studies off of East-West Road)

Parking guards and staff will assist in directing fans to these zones when entering from the East-West Road entrance and Maile Way.

In addition, UHM Commuter Services has made the following arrangements for this weekend:

  • Additional traffic control assistance
  • Electronic message boards will be posted on Bachman Lawn, Music Building Lot, and Dole Street

Free shuttle service will be available up/down East West & Correa Road (shuttle signs will be posted) with the drop off at Krauss Circle near Dole Street and Law School/Library cross walk. Shuttles will run on 15-20 minute loops before and after the game. A real-time shuttle status map is available on the Commuter Services Website: www.UHMShuttle.com; or download the application “UHM Shuttle” on the Google Play or Apple Store.

Additional parking without shuttle service is available at Zone 22 – Dole Street parking structure near the Hawaiian Studies Building. Parking fee is $6.

Also additional public paid parking lots are available in the surrounding Mo‘ili‘ili area. No shuttle service is available and parking fees will vary.

Fans are also encouraged to purchase tickets online to avoid waiting in lines at the ticket windows.
