HONOLULU - Embattled former Police Chief Louis Kealoha and his wife, former Deputy Prosecutor Katherine Kealoha were back at federal court Tuesday.

The trial for the Kealohas -- who are accused of framing Katherine's uncle in a mailbox theft -- is set to begin this summer.

Tuesday morning, the judge denied several motions from both sides of the case, and delayed hearing others.

In one motion, the prosecution asked to admit evidence of an alleged Ponzi scheme as motive in this case. The judge denied that motion.

Jury selection for the trial is set to begin on May 15th.
