HONOLULU - The man allegedly connected to a shooting in Waipahu that left another man in critical condition is behind bars.

39-year-old Chauncey Tadashi Hata was arrested in Nanakuli Monday evening for second degree attempted murder and contempt.

He has not yet been charged.

The shooting happened Saturday morning outside a Jack in the Box on Moloalo Street. 

One witness says she heard a man screaming in pain after he was shot in the stomach. 

Video from inside the fast food restaurant shows the man allegedly shot, limping to a car that quickly drove off. 

A woman who works at that shopping center tells KITV4, she heard a single gunshot and moments later, saw that car leaving.
