HONOLULU—In the final home game of the season, the University of Hawai'i women's basketball team prevailed past Cal State Fullerton 70-55 on Saturday afternoon at the Stan Sheriff Center.
The Rainbow Wahine (12-15, 8-6) moved into the No. 4 spot of the Big West Conference standings due to the win and a loss by UC Irvine at UC Davis earlier in the day. The Titans (13-13, 5-9) have dropped eight of their last 10 matchups and are currently tied for the No. 6 in the standings with Long Beach State.
UH and CSF traded shots in the opening quarter with the Titans holding a slim lead at 14-13, but a 9-0 run to end the second frame put the green and white in the driver's seat the rest of the night. The drive was capped off by a buzzer beater before halftime from senior guard Rachel Odumu giving UH a 35-23 lead.
CSF inched closer in the second half, pulling with four at one point at the start of the fourth quarter at 49-45. UH answered with a 14-2 run spanning over four minutes of action by putting the game out of reach, sealing a UH win on senior night.

Redshirt sophomore forward Amy Atwell came off the bench with 10 points and led the team with eight rebounds. Rounding out the offense was senior guard Tia Kanoa with seven points and a game-high six assists.
