HONOLULU - If you thought you were paying a lot in rent living in Honolulu, a new study confirms it.

The online home rental site, Zumper, released their latest national rental report covering 100 cities in the nation.

They gathered data from over one million active listings, which include a national rent index for one and two bedroom units.

Honolulu was ranked as the 12th most expensive for rentals. 

The price of a one bedroom unit rose 1.8 percent to $1,700. Two bedrooms units jumped 4.8 percent to $2,200.

The national one and two bedroom rent prices both fell .4 percent, and settled at medians of $1,208 and $1,437.
