HONOLULU - UPDATE 3/7 at 11 a.m.

The Department of Transportation has announced that Honolulu-bound lanes of the Pali Highway will remain closed until August.

A contraflow lane heading Honolulu bound on the Pali Highway will be open for motorists to use Thursday morning from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. These hours will continue through weekdays.

"When the Honolulu-bound contraflow is in operations no Kailua/Kaneohe bound traffic will be permitted to travel through the area," the Hawaii Department of Transportation wrote on their website.

Kailua/Kaneohe bound lanes will be open from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. beginning Thursday, and will also continue through weekdays.
