Former Honolulu Transportation Services Director Mike Formby was voted in by the Honolulu City Council Tuesday.

The final vote was eight to zero, and Formby will serve temporarily because the State Supreme Court invalidated Trevor Ozawa's win in the general election over Tommy Waters.

"He really is the complete package. We look forward to working with him and he knows the City inside and out from the Executive side he's now going to see the legislative side bring a lot to the table, I think he's going to work well with the other Councilmembers. I'm really pleased with the outcome," Mayor Caldwell said.

Formby will hold the seat until Saturday April 13th, the day of the 'do-over' election being held between Ozawa and Waters.
