In one of the tightest Heisman races, Hawaii’s Tua Tagovailoa, St Louis grad, Alabama quarterback finished runner-up to Oklahoma's Kyler Murray at the PlayStation Theater in Times Square on Saturday.  296 votes separated the two.  Tagovailoa's 1,871 votes is the most garnered by any runner-up in Heisman voting history.

Tua joins Manti Teo as Hawai’i players to finish as Heisman runner-up.

Before Saturday’s announcement Tua said when it comes to season highlights, getting to go through this experience with his family is up there.  "Life has been a roller coaster you know with everything I've been going through but just being able to enjoy this entire process with my family I'd say is the best part of all this" said Tagovailoa.

Murray and Tua will meet again for this year’s Orange Bowl on December 29th.  And noticeably different today, Tua is out of his boot.  After rehabbing for the past week, got the "ok" from trainers to walk without it.

And Tagovailoa does not walk away from this week empty handed earlier earned the Maxwell Player of the Year award and Walter Camp award.
